Can MX ultimately support the importation of a NEXUS file that would allow OTUs and characters to be created on the fly as a result of the importation of said NEXUS file?

For the chalcidoid project, it would be great to have Noyes's taxonomic hierarchy available (pick-list style?) for selecting names for OTUs.
