Add a Term

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination

To add a term:

1. Click on the 'new' link to add a term.
2. Keystroke the word(s) (all lowercase unless a capital is warranted, e.g., for proper names like Waterston's organ).
3. Add a definition that starts with a capital letter and ends with a period.
4. Tie the term to the reference from which the definition was copied verbatim using the "written by" field. Curators can add themselves as a reference if the definition does not come from a reference.
5. If known, tie it to the highest taxon for which this term applies.
6. Choose the language if not English.
