Using the extract functions

Both functions create new specimens that have have an OTU det that is that of the present lot, and also the same collecting event, if there is one attached.

create (extract)

This function creates a new specimen from the lot. It subtracts 1 from the “value” specimens in the lot. It is not available if there are no “value” specimens.

create (clone, no extraction)

The function creates a specimen but does not subtract 1 from the “value” specimens in the lot.
